A Nigerian man and devoted Arsenal supporter has d!ed after he collapsed while watching the UEFA Champions League final between Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in Anambra state
The deceased, identified as Chibuzor Nzediegwu from Uga in Aguata Local Government Area, was said to have slumped during the highly intense match after PSG drew level, a moment that reportedly increased the tension of the game for Arsenal fans watching.
Reports indicate that the incident happened in the second half of the final, which eventually ended in disappointment for Arsenal supporters as PSG went on to win the 2026 Champions League title.
The development has left his family and community in deep mourning. During his burial relatives and kinsmen gathered to pay their last respects as traditional rites were carried out and he was laid to rest.
He was described by those who knew him as a passionate football enthusiast and a committed Arsenal fan whose love for the game was well known in his community.
