Broda Shaggi calls out leaders for failing Nigerians

Popular comedian Broda Shaggi has criticized Nigerian leaders over the country’s worsening insecurity and economic hardship, accusing many of failing in their responsibility to protect and serve citizens.

In a strongly worded statement he shared via his page, the entertainer said;

“Heartless leaders should never be entrusted with the responsibility of leading millions, especially not in a country where people are already fighting every single day just to survive.”

According to him, empathy should be the minimum requirement for anyone in leadership, stressing that caring about human lives should never be optional.

“In a world this cruel, choosing compassion is already a revolutionary act,” he said.

Broda Shaggi argued that holding public office is a privilege that should be dedicated to improving the lives of citizens rather than pursuing personal interests.

“Being privileged enough to hold a position of leadership should mean dedicating your life to saving Nigeria, not exploiting it for personal gain and selfish ambition,” he stated.

The comedian also expressed concern over the continued k!ll!ngs and kidnappings across the country, lamenting the suffering of innocent citizens.

“It hurts deeply to watch innocent children, mothers and fathers suffer, k!dnapped and k!lled while those elected to protect and lead remain silent,” he said.

He further criticized what he described as a misunderstanding of the true purpose of governance among some leaders.

“Leadership is not about power, luxury, or political games. It is about service, sacrifice, accountability and humanity,” he added.

Describing the country’s condition as dire, Broda Shaggi said many Nigerians are exhausted and losing hope.

“Nigeria is bleeding. Many are grieving. People are tired and losing hope. And the painful part is that so many in power seem more interested in taking than actually doing,” he wrote.

He concluded with a warning that future generations would judge the actions and inactions of those currently in positions of authority.

“History will remember who chose greed over people. And it will also remember those who stayed silent while innocent lives were lost,” he said.
