Popular comedian and filmmaker Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, has announced the postponement of the AY Live Warri event originally scheduled for June 12, 2026.
The entertainer disclosed that the decision was taken in response to the prevailing insecurity and uncertainty affecting many parts of Nigeria.
According to AY, the organisers considered it necessary to stand in solidarity with families impacted by the situation while also prioritising the safety of attendees, performers, sponsors and supporters.
AY noted that hosting the show under the current circumstances would not reflect the concerns of many Nigerians grappling with the effects of insecurity.
The he assured fans that the event has not been cancelled and that a new date will be announced in due course.
He also thanked supporters for their understanding and continued loyalty, expressing hope that the show would return bigger and better once conditions improve.
Announcing the postponement, AY said: “At a time when many Nigerians are dealing with the painful effects of insecurity and uncertainty, we believe it is important to stand in solidarity with affected families and prioritise the safety of our audience and supporters.”
