Actor and social commentator Uche Maduagwu has criticised fellow actress Doris Ogala after campaign flyers promoting her candidacy for the Abia State governorship election surfaced online.
Reacting to the development, Maduagwu questioned Ogala’s suitability for the position, arguing that she lacks the qualifications required to seek such an office.
In a statement, he said:
“Doris Ogala, Liberate yourself first before you liberate Abians. How can someone that is not even qualified to run as COUNCILLOR in Abia State be contesting for Governorship position?”.
His remarks came days after flyers bearing Doris Ogala’s image and messages promoting her alleged governorship ambition surfaced online.
Maduagwu’s remarks echo concerns raised by many internet users, who have questioned whether Doris Ogala possesses the qualifications, competence, and moral standing required for the office she seeks.
The concerns stem from several controversies that have surrounded the actress over the years, including public disputes with some of her colleagues and clerics. This includes, most notably, her widely publicised disagreement with popular preacher Pastor Chris Okafor.
