Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has condemned a series of violent incidents reported across parts of the state, demanding urgent security intervention from Federal Government

Adeleke said the a.ttacks were unacceptable, stressing that political rivalry must never be allowed to degenerate into violence or intimidation.

“No political objective is worth the loss of lives, pain, and suffering inflicted on innocent citizens. Democracy must not be reduced to a battlefield where political disagreements are settled through violence,” he said.

The governor appealed to President Bola Tinubu, the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the Inspector-General of Police, and the Department of State Services (DSS) to urgently step in and prevent further breakdown of law and order in the state.

He also called on leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, including former Governor Gboyega Oyetola and governorship candidate Bola Oyebamiji, to caution their supporters and ensure restraint.
