American singer-songwriter Oliver Tree has di.ed at the age of 32 following a helicopter collision in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
The incident occurred on Sunday over the Recreio dos Bandeirantes area in the city’s western zone, where two helicopters reportedly collided mid-air before crashing to the ground.
Brazilian authorities said all six people aboard both aircraft were killed in the crash. One of the helicopters is reported to have come down in a vehicle storage area, triggering a fire that spread to multiple parked vehicles.
Emergency services responded to the scene, and recovery operations were carried out following the impact. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
Oliver Tree, born Oliver Tree Nickell, was known for his global hits including Life Goes On and Miss You, as well as his distinctive artistic style and genre-blending music career. He had been touring internationally in recent weeks.
Other individuals reported among the victims include Argentine YouTuber Gaspar Prim, Lucas Vignale, Lucas Brito Chaves, and the two pilots operating the aircraft.
