Evangelist Jane Mmerechi Ekubo-Okwaraeke, mother of late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo, has shared a heartfelt tribute reflecting on the close bond she shared with her son and the pain of losing him.
In an emotional message, she spoke about the many things she would miss about him, from his phone calls and encouragement to the moments they spent praying and worshipping together.
“I still long for your calls, care, unconditional love, your gist, your encouragement, our corporate prayers, and our praise and worship sessions. You were an intentional son, full of wisdom. Thank God your life on earth was dedicated to serving Him. You once told me that knowing Jesus was the greatest gift I ever gave you,” she wrote.
She also expressed gratitude for his wife, Nkem Atom, whom she described as exceptional and a reflection of the qualities that made her son special.
“I sincerely appreciate and thank God for your adorable wife, Nkem Atom, who is amazing and exceptional, just like you. Please keep interceding for us as you are seated with our Lord Jesus Christ,” she added.
Despite the deep grief of his passing, Jane Ekubo-Okwaraeke said her faith remains her source of comfort as she holds on to the hope of seeing her son again.
“I will surely miss you dearly. Chai, this is hard. But my consolation is that we shall meet again, where we will part no more.”
Her tribute painted a picture of a devoted son remembered for his wisdom, faith, love, and unwavering commitment to God.
