Content creator and influencer popularly known as Ashmusy, has opened up about the emotional pressure she feels as she turns 30 without being married or having children.
Looking back on her expectations growing up, she said:
“I always thought I would be married with children before I turned 30 because I had so many suitors while growing up. Becoming a mother has always been one of my biggest life goals. As the first daughter in my family, there was a lot of pressure from relatives who expected me to settle down early.
Seeing so many relationships fail made me more careful about choosing the person I want to spend my life with. At this stage of my life, I value peace of mind and emotional stability more than trying to meet society’s expectations.
“Freezing my eggs gives me the freedom to make decisions about marriage and motherhood without feeling pressured by my age. My decision does not mean I am against marriage. I simply want to make the right choice at the right time.”
She explained that while marriage and motherhood remain important to her, she is no longer willing to rush into them because of age or outside pressure.
For her, it now comes down more to choosing the right partner and building something stable when the time is right.
