Nollywood actor Akin Olaiya’s ex-wife has broken her silence, sharing details of what she described as the painful experiences that led to the collapse of their marriage.
Her comments surfaced days after the actor announced the dissolution of their marriage.
According to her, she left the marriage just a few months after their wedding after discovering that her husband was allegedly involved in a relationship with one of her close friends, who also served as a bridesmaid during their wedding ceremony.
She further claimed that the same friend is now married to him.
Opening up about her decision to walk away, she said:
“I left my marriage 3 months ago because I was in pa!n and there was v!olence I felt invisible. For my life, I had to go.
“We’ve been separated since last year. Nobody abandons a happy home. When your peace is gone, you choose yourself.
“He’s older than me, but age wasn’t the issue.
“I won’t expose our private story online. Allah knows all. But women don’t just walk away for nothing.
“After all I suffered.. he married my best friend.”
She also alleged:
“I left my husband because he started having an affair with my best friend who was a bridesmaid at my wedding. He was much older than me but I still married him and he betrayed me.”
