The Ogun State Police Command has arrested three individuals in connection with the k!lling of former Ogun State Television broadcaster, Olakitan Oyesiku, and her security guard, Pelumi Adetayo.
Among those arrested is a former security guard who reportedly worked at Oyesiku’s residence.
The State Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, announced the breakthrough on Thursday during a press briefing held at the command headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta.
According to the police chief, the suspects were tracked and arrested following extensive investigations involving intelligence gathering, forensic examinations and technical surveillance carried out by detectives handling the case.
The victims were discovered de.ad on June 21 at Oyesiku’s home in the Owode-Egba area of Ogun State. Following the incident, her Lexus RX 330 SUV was reported missing, raising suspicions of a possible robbery linked to the killings.
Police said investigations are ongoing as efforts continue to uncover the full circumstances surrounding the double murder.
