Doris Ogala has responded after VeryDarkMan questioned her governorship ambition and accused Omoyele Sowore of presenting her as an alternative to Abia State Governor Alex Otti, a move VDM termed failure at arrival
Reacting to the criticism, the actress said the narrative being pushed was inaccurate.
According to her, the decision to run for office was entirely hers and was never influenced by Sowore. She explained that the AAC presidential candidate was not even aware she had picked up the party’s nomination form until they met during a vetting session.
Ogala also dismissed the suggestion that she was being used by anyone, insisting that she makes her own decisions and cannot be controlled.
While appreciating VeryDarkMan for the support he has shown her over the years, she said she would rather see peace than a public disagreement between people she respects.
She went on to urge VDM and Sowore to set aside their differences and focus on working together to challenge the country’s political system instead of attacking each other.
Ogala ended her message by saying she holds no ill feelings toward either men and wishes them both well.
She stated:
“I deeply respect your strength, but I choose to distance myself from this misunderstanding. You have come through for me in the past, and I do not take that for granted. However, I choose peace over chaos.
”My decision to run for governor is entirely my own, and I am not someone anyone can dictate to.
”Omoyele Sowore was never aware I had obtained an African Action Congress (AAC) nomination form until a particular vetting class session. Since I declared my interest to run, I have neither spoken to nor seen Sowore until the day I saw him in court.
”I want to plead with you all to come together, and join forces so we can retire those oppressors who have intentionally hijacked our system. I love you both. God bless you.
