Former Minister of Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, has been arrested at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu while attempting to board a chartered flight to Abuja
The former minister was taken into custody at the airport by security operatives.
According to Premium Times, sources familiar with the development said Nnaji is expected to be transferred to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for questioning.
The report added that the anti-graft agency had been investigating the former minister since his resignation from office last year over allegations that he falsified his academic certificates.
