Former Big Brother Naija housemate Queen Mercy Atang has shared an emotional prayer, saying her heart aches whenever she sees people going through difficult times.
According to her, watching families lose everything or seeing children rescued from floodwaters leaves her deeply saddened.
She said she often finds herself wishing she had enough money and influence to make life easier for people not to make everyone wealthy, but to ensure they have the basic things needed to live with dignity.
“I’m so sad.
Sometimes I wish I had the money and the influence to make everyone comfortable. Not necessarily rich, just comfortable enough to have the basic things every human deserves: a safe home in a good environment, good food to eat, access to quality education, the ability to afford hospital bills, and the everyday essentials for a decent life.
Seeing little children being pulled from floodwaters or families losing everything breaks me into pieces. It honestly hurts my heart.
Lord, please make me extremely wealthy. Not for luxury or status, but so I can put smiles on people’s faces, lift burdens, and help those in need.
Please, Lord”, she wrote.
Queen said her desire for wealth has nothing to do with luxury or status. Instead, she hopes to one day have the means to support those in need, help ease people’s burdens, and put smiles on the faces of those facing hardship.
