Afrobeats superstar Davido has urged aspiring musicians to hold their faith in God after achieving success, saying fame often brings distractions that can make people lose focus
Speaking in an interview with Kiss Xtra, the award-winning singer said self-belief, hard work and a genuine passion for music played major roles in his rise to the top of the industry.

Reflecting on his early days, Davido explained that he constantly worked on improving his talent and made use of resources around him, including online tutorials.
“My advice for up-and-coming artistes is first of all, believe in yourself. I worked on my craft so much. I loved music so much that I just wanted to get better every time. When I was young, I was learning from YouTube and the people around me,” he said.
The singer also advised upcoming artistes not to allow success to weaken their relationship with God, stressing that staying spiritually grounded is important as fame comes with many temptations.
“Secondly, love what you do and put God first and close, especially when you make it because there are so many distractions that can make you forget He is the reason you are here,” he added.
