Sometimes, the funniest jokes stick because they carry a little truth.
Comedian Bovi recently shared one of those observations that makes people laugh first and think later.
He said:
“If you’re going into business with someone you don’t know very well, ask them who the better footballer is between Ronaldo and Messi. If they tell you Ronaldo is the better footballer, pick up your shoes and run. It means they can take what is true and twist it to fit their own reality. When someone can genuinely believe that, you have to be careful because they can do the same thing in business.”
Although he said it in a light-hearted way, Bovi wasn’t just joking. He genuinely believes Ronaldo is the better footballer, and he used the long-running Ronaldo versus Messi debate to make his point.
For him, the comparison isn’t close, and he used that belief to make a humorous point about trust and judgment when choosing who to go into business with.
