Isaac Fayose has appealed to his elder brother and former Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose, to turn down his appointment as the chairman of the board of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA)
President Bola Tinubu appointed the former Ekiti State governor as chairman of the board of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) on Monday, July 20, with the appointment announced in a statement by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, as part of a fresh set of board appointments.
Reacting to the development, Isaac argued that the position does not reflect his brother’s political experience and standing.
He insisted that Ayo deserved something more significant and urged him not to accept the role.
He said;
“This is so disrespectful. Reno Omokri, who doesn’t have your kind of pedigree was made an ambassador. Even Wike who you trained, was made a Minister. How can APC nominate you as chairman of a board? Reject it. It’s disrespectful”
