Wizkid has said he is a local boy, and asked people to forget all the paparazzi that comes with being Wizkid, lol

The singer said this while opening up about his experience living in the United States for two years.

He revealed that finding Nigerian food was one of his biggest struggles.

In a fresh interview, the singer said he found his two-year stay in the US frustrating because he could not easily access the local dishes he loves.

To satisfy his cravings, Wizkid disclosed that he spent between $300 and $400 every day throughout that period just to get Nigerian meals.

Even with his international success, the Afrobeats star insisted he has remained true to his roots, describing himself as “a local boy.”

He said:

“I only eat Nigerian food everywhere I go. I got bored staying in the USA for 2 years because I wasn’t getting Nigerian food as much as I wanted.

“I used to spend $300 to $400 every single day for 2 years in the US just to have a taste of Nigerian food. I’m a local boy o. Forget all this Louis Vuitton Gucci stuff. I love what I love, you know. You can take the boy out of the ghetto but you cannot take the ghetto out of the boy,”
