Actor Tobi Makinde has addressed the story making the rounds about his relationship with actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele, especially after comedian Kamo State became a familiar face around her
Speaking during a recent interview on Yanga 89.9 FM, Makinde explained that the online narrative did not match what actually happened.
He said many people had assumed Kamo State stepped into the position he once held in Funke Akindele’s circle, but that was never the case.
Makinde revealed that he was the one who introduced Kamo State to the actress in the first place.
He said:
“It was through me Kamo State met Actress Funke Akindele. I see when lots of people were saying it was Kamo that took my place at Madam Funke Akindele’s side.”
He went on to explain that seeing those claims surprised him because they painted a completely different picture from what really happened.
According to him, there was no truth to the suggestion that Kamo State replaced him.
The actor’s explanation comes after months of speculation about his relationship with Funke Akindele, following her absence from his wedding.
Makinde, however, has consistently maintained that there is no bad blo.od between them.
