Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church, David Oyedepo, has cautioned young people against viewing sports betting as a shortcut to financial success, urging them instead to embrace diligence, patience and purposeful living.
Speaking during a church service, the renowned preacher warned that staking on betting platforms is not a reliable path to prosperity and encouraged youths to focus on building a meaningful future through legitimate means.
Addressing the congregation, Oyedepo repeatedly stressed that betting is a distraction that can derail destiny, urging young people to abandon the habit and channel their energy into productive pursuits.
He reminded worshippers that genuine prosperity is achieved through perseverance rather than quick fixes, noting that while progress may appear gradual, it ultimately produces lasting results.
Wrapping up his message, Oyedepo challenged young people to reassess their priorities and make choices that would secure a better future rather than pursuing false hopes of overnight wealth.
He said:
