The Osun State Police Command has arrested and detained the Secretary to the State Government, Teslim Igbalaye, along with five other individuals after a raid on his residence in Osogbo
According to a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, Abiodun Ojelabi, the operation was carried out following intelligence that suspected members of a criminal group were hiding at the location.

The police said one of those arrested, Oladele Abiodun, was already on its watchlist over alleged criminal offences.
Also taken into custody were Akande Taiwo, 60; Adeyemo Lukman, 45; Olaoye Muftau, 50; and Aderemi Musliu, 40.
During the raid, officers recovered ₦4,810,500 in cash, two Permanent Voter Cards, a voter register covering Wards 1 to 15, a Dynabook laptop, a photocopy machine and a printer.
Police said all the recovered items have been placed in custody for forensic analysis and further investigation.
The command noted that the discovery of the cash and voter register has raised concerns over possible electoral offences, including alleged vote-buying under Section 121 of the Electoral Act 2022, criminal conspiracy, harbouring a wanted suspect and other offences that may emerge as the investigation progresses.
