Marcus Rashford has shared a farewell message on social media to Barcelona and their supporters — making it evident that a permanent transfer has been passed over
The forward found himself frozen out at Manchester United 12 months ago following a falling out with Ruben Amorim and, after a brief loan spell at Aston Villa, managed to secure a high-profile season-long move to the Catalan club.
Built into the loan agreement was the option to make the transfer to the Nou Camp permanent, but Barcelona chose not to pay the £26 million ($34.9 million) it would have required.
Rashford had been candid about the fact that he would have welcomed the opportunity to represent the La Liga side beyond this season, as per The Mirror.
