Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji, a distinguished elder statesman and Nigeria’s former Minister of Finance, has passed away
His de.ath was announced officially by his family on Thursday.
The former minister served as the Minister of Finance from 1990 to 1991 under the military administration of General Ibrahim Babangida.
He was also the Minister of State for Budget and Planning in 1988, and later served as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
The late elder statesman was known for being a thoroughbred administrator. His career spanned several high-profile positions across the public civil service.
