"Nobody touch my billboard, else we’ll all campaign without billboards"😆 - Doris Ogala

Doris Ogala, a Nollywood actress and African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate in Abia State, has warned that nobody should dare touch her campaign billboards in the state

According to her, Abia governship candidates are being asked to pay ₦150 million permit fees.

The actress questioned the charge during a visit to the Abia State Structures for Signages and Advertising Agency (ABSSAA), arguing that it places an unnecessary burden on those seeking to contest the governorship election.

She also alleged that the policy was intended to make life difficult for opposition candidates.

“People are dying in the hospital, government workers are not being paid, and you are demanding me to pay ₦150 million as a candidate. Where do you want me to get that from? I dare anybody to try to touch my billboard, then all of us will campaign without billboard in this state,” she said.

Ogala further claimed she was being singled out, saying, “This is targeted at me. Otti is afraid of me.”

Ogala was referring to Alex Otti, the Abia State governor, who is seeking a second term in the 2027 governorship election. She accused him of using the ₦150 million permit fee to frustrate opposition candidates, including herself.
