I was never arrested in Switzerland – Olakunle Churchill

Olakunle Churchill has denied a report claiming he was arrested in Switzerland over an alleged tax invasion case, describing the publication as false and urging the public not to believe unverified stories about him

The businessman was responding to an online report that claimed he had been arrested in Switzerland over an alleged tax-related matter.

In a statement, Churchill said misinformation spreads quickly in today’s digital age, but maintained that the truth eventually prevails.

He explained that he has intentionally kept many aspects of his personal and business life private, stressing that his decision should never be mistaken for having something to hide.

Rejecting the allegations outright, Churchill insisted that he has no criminal or legal issues.

In a lengthy Instagram post, he wrote:

“Over the years, I have chosen to keep many aspects of my personal and business life private. That choice should never be mistaken for having something to hide. Privacy is a principle I value, and I intend to keep it that way.

“For the avoidance of doubt, I have no police case, no court case, and no criminal matter whatsoever. Any claims suggesting otherwise are entirely false and should be treated as such.

“It is unfortunate that, rather than celebrating progress and encouraging one another, some individuals choose to spread unverified stories to discredit others. While such actions are disappointing, they will not distract me from my purpose.

“My focus remains on building businesses, creating opportunities, supporting meaningful causes, and continuing the work that truly matters. Those who know me understand that my values, actions, and consistency speak far louder than speculation.

He ended the statement by expressing gratitude to God and reaffirming his confidence that the truth would prevail.

“Truth requires no defense only time. I will continue to move forward with integrity, dignity, and unwavering faith.”
