VeryDarkMan has explained why he does not see himself as an activist, saying he prefers to describe himself as an online police whose focus is on holding people and those in government accountable.
Speaking during an interview on ARISE TV, he said his approach is different from what many people expect, insisting that he is interested in accountability wherever it is needed.
In his words:
“I don’t want to see myself as an activist, I’m not but an online police. I hold people accountable and also hold the government accountable, that’s why I put my mouth in everybody’s business because everyone’s business is my business.”
He also said his style is far from conventional, comparing it to the honey badger, also known as the ratel, because of its fearless nature.
“My method of policing is not a conventional method. If you look at the animal called Ratel, it doesn’t care about anything or how big you are.
“For me to kind of want what I truly want, we do not have to follow the normal method”, he stated
Addressing claims that he benefits financially from his activism, VeryDarkMan dismissed the allegation and challenged anyone with proof to come forward.
“If my activism is monetised as Seun Kuti and others claimed, by now someone should have come out to counter my stand to accused me of collecting money from them”, he said.
