The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has lost his father-in-law, Hamza Majowogbe, the Olu of Ibido-Omu in Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State
Majowogbe passed away in the early hours of Thursday following a brief illness. He was 95 years old.

His remains were laid to rest in accordance with Islamic traditions at a burial attended by relatives, community leaders, Muslim clerics and other sympathisers.
Obasa was present at the funeral alongside lawmakers from the Lagos State House of Assembly and other associates as the family bid farewell to the late traditional ruler.
In his condolence message, the Speaker described the deceased’s life as one that positively impacted many people and urged the bereaved family to draw strength from his legacy.
“We take comfort in the life he lived and the many lives he touched while with us. I pray that Almighty Allah grants the deceased Al-Jannah Firdaus and gives the family the strength to bear this loss,” Obasa said.
