Nigerian U.S. Army mom appeals to Trump over daughter’s visa denial

A Nigerian woman serving in the U.S. Army is appealing directly to President Donald Trump for help after her 10-year-old daughter was denied a visa to join her in the United States.

The woman says she and her daughter have been separated for years, and the situation has become even more painful because the child is now critically ill in Nigeria.

She wants her daughter brought to the United States so she can receive better medical treatment and be under her care.

According to the mother, she has medical reports and other documents to show the seriousness of her daughter’s condition, but the visa denial has left her struggling to get the child out of Nigeria.

In a direct appeal to Trump, she said:

“Dear Mister President, I am only simply asking that there should be an exception for me. My daughter is critically ill. I have all the paperwork to prove it, medical reports. Please help me. Please, Mr President, help me reunite with my daughter. This is just a mother fighting for her daughter to live and survive.”

The mother is now asking for an exception that would allow her daughter to join her in the United States, where she believes the 10-year-old can receive the medical care she urgently needs.
