Nollywood actor Yul Edochie’s second wife, Judy Austin has taken legal action against her former husband, Emmanuel Obasi, with a N1 billion claim for damages.
The lawsuit comes after months of allegations and counter-allegations surrounding their former marriage and Austin’s relationship with Yul Edochie.
Obasi, who has continued to speak about his past marriage to Austin, previously made allegations concerning the actress and Edochie. He claimed that the two were involved while he and Austin were still married.
Judy has consistently denied the allegation, maintaining that her previous marriage ended in 2013. She has also rejected the claim that she had an intimate relationship with Edochie while she was still married to Obasi.
With the latest development, the dispute has moved from public accusations to a legal setting. Austin is asking the court to award her N1 billion in damages over the matters raised in her suit.
The amount being demanded makes the case a significant legal battle between the former couple, who share two children from their previous marriage.
