Billionaire businessman Kennedy Okonkwo questioned the financial choices of some young people, particularly young women who spend huge amounts on luxury items instead of investing.
While speaking in a post, he said:
“Young girls today would rather buy a ₦100m wigs than invest, then blame the government. 40 years ago, Dangote and Otedola were nobody. Today, they’re billionaires.”
He also pointed to his own experience, saying his ability to create wealth goes beyond the money he currently has.
“If I lose all my money today, I’ll walk into any bank and say, ‘I’m Kenny Okonkwo. I’ve helped over 6,000 people become homeowners. Give me your money.’ I’ll become a billionaire again. Young people today would rather buy a GLE than invest”, he said.
