Davido has joined the growing conversation about artistes and their record labels, as he vowed to reveal his own experience with the music business
His comment came at a time when several music stars are publicly speaking about problems they allegedly faced with record labels and music executives.

The latest drama involves the Okoye brothers of P-Square, with Peter and Paul Okoye airing different sides of their long-running family and business dispute involving their former manager and elder brother, Jude Okoye.
Another controversy has also emerged between singer T.I Blaze and music executive Dapper. T.I Blaze has questioned the handling of his music catalogue and raised concerns over an alleged ₦1.2 billion discrepancy connected to his dealings with the label.
Seyi Vibez, who previously worked with Dapper, also reacted strongly to the controversy, making several allegations about his former label boss.
Amid all these developments, Davido suggested that he, too, has a story that he has been keeping to himself.
Taking to X, the singer wrote:
“Since everybody Dey vex for their label .. me I wan talk ooo nah Asa and bank Dey hold my mouth since no worry no be now .. the time will come .. e go pass Peter own”
