Coventry City have completed a permanent deal to sign Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi
Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Coventry and Nottingham Forest have reached an agreement for the 29-year-old Nigerian, with his medical examination currently underway.

The move will see Frank Lampard strengthen his Coventry attack as the club pushes for promotion. Awoniyi leaves Forest after making more than 100 appearances for the club and playing an important role in their promotion campaign and subsequent Premier League survival.
Forest supporters have expressed their appreciation for the striker, with some crediting him with helping the club avoid relegation and calling for him to receive a proper farewell.
Meanwhile, Coventry fans have welcomed the arrival, with supporters sharing graphics of Awoniyi in the club’s sky-blue colours and expressing excitement over his potential impact under Lampard.
