Veteran rapper Jesse Jagz criticised Davido over comments he made after his uncle’s victory in Osun State, asking what the government had achieved since coming into office.
Earlier, speaking on Channels Television, Davido praised his uncle’s performance in Osun State, saying;
“My uncle, the governor, should be an example to all other government officials out there, and governors. It shows that if you work well for the people, the people will work well for you, no matter what.”
In reaction to that, Jagz mentioned the state’s electricity and road problems and questioned the celebrations surrounding the political victory.
He wrote:
“Wetin your uncle don achieve since he enter govt? There’s no 24hrs light in Osun, there’s no good roads – there’s noting literally beside stages for you guys to dance and mock the people. Abi Alex Otti no be he mate? You Dey do press conference dey talk nonsense.”
Under his comment session, some people who identified themselves as Osun indigenes disagreed with Jesse’s assessment, pointing instead to projects and developments they said Governor Ademola Adeleke had brought to the state.
They also questioned Jesse’s point about electricity, asking whether Aso Villa in Abuja, where the president lives, does not use solar power, given the country’s unreliable electricity supply.
