Singer Adebayo Adeleke, popularly known as B-Red has said Nigeria would experience significant changes if his father, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, becomes President
B-Red made the comment in a 2023 interview on the Echoroom podcast, which resurfaced on social media today.
His remark resurfaced days after his father won the August 15, 2026 Osun State governorship election for a second term in office.

In the resurfaced interview, B-Red was asked whether he thought his father could eventually become President of Nigeria.
The singer, however, said he did not want Adeleke to pursue the presidency because of the stress it could bring to the family.
He said, “People are talking about it, but I don’t want him to be. I don’t want no stress on me, your daddy, I beg. Your father is the president; he did not do this.”
B-Red said he knew his father to be a kind-hearted person and believed he would use the presidency to improve the lives of Nigerians if elected.
“But I know my dad, he has such a good heart, but if he does become the president, this country go change oh,” he said.
He added that Adeleke would be committed to meeting the needs of Nigerians rather than using public office to enrich himself.
“It will choke in every aspect. Because he’s not, he’s going to do everything that people want him to do. You know, I’ve been rich for a long time, so we’re not coming here to steal money, bro. I’m coming here to help people, you understand?” he said.
