General Secretary of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Emmanuel Ugboaja, has d!ed at the age of 60 after a prolonged illness
Ugboaja, who became the fifth General Secretary of the NLC in 2019, was a veteran trade unionist and lawyer whose career in organised labour spanned more than three decades.
Details surrounding his de.ath remained limited at the time of filing, but NLC President Joe Ajaero reportedly informed members of the Congress’ National Executive Council during a meeting in Enugu after receiving a letter from Ugboaja’s family.
