VeryDarkMan has expressed concern about the way politics is being handled in Nigeria, especially when it comes to the younger generation.
He said many Nigerian youths seem to limit their political involvement to conversations online, without taking the time to follow political issues closely or understand what is happening beyond social media.
In a post he shared, he said:
“Nigerian youths no longer pay attention to politics. We only talk about it online and move on without paying closer attention. With the way President Tinubu and others are running politics in Nigeria right now, I fear for the future of this country and the future politicians who are learning this pattern of politics”.
The bigger concern is what this could mean in the long run. If young Nigerians continue to treat politics as something they only discuss online and then move on from, they may have less influence over the kind of leadership the country gets in the future.
There is also the worry that the political habits being seen today could become the example for the next generation of politicians.
