Social media personality Egungun of Lagos has criticised the growing presence of fake products in Nigeria, expressing concern over the quality of items being sold to consumers across the country.
He listed several products he said are being counterfeited, including sanitary pads, Oral-B, Hollandia yoghurt, drinks, creams, medicines and drips.
In a post he shared, he wrote:
“Fake sanitary pads Fake Oral-B Fake Hollandia yoghurt Fake drinks Fake Creams Fake medicines Fake Drips Fake president Everything in this country is fake Nigeria is hell as described in the Bible.”
Egungun also directed his criticism at the government, using the issue of counterfeit products to express his broader frustration with the state of the country.
His concerns centred on the increasing circulation of fake products, essential items that could put consumers’ health and safety at risk.
