Timi Dakolo shared how he met his wife and how things slowly changed between them before they eventually became a couple.
Speaking on The Morayo Show, he said he first noticed her in church and was interested enough to ask for her number. After getting it, he took her on a date, hoping they could become more than friends.
But she did not see him that way at first. Dakolo said she kept friend-zoning him, even though he was making an effort to spend more time with her. At some point, he started driving her to work every day, but even that did not seem to change how she felt about him.
He eventually decided to take a step back and stopped calling her for four days. That was when she called him herself and gave him a chance.
Looking back, Dakolo said that moment became the beginning of the relationship that eventually led to marriage.
He said:
“I saw a beautiful girl in church and got her number. I took her on a date, but she kept friend-zoning me, even after I started driving her to work every day. I stopped calling for four days… then she called and gave me a chance. That’s how I met my wife.”
