Desmond Elliot has appealed to Femi Gbajabiamila for forgiveness and reconciliation after months of political tension between the two men.
The disagreement dates back to the crisis that led to the removal of Mudashiru Obasa as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly in January 2025. Elliot was accused of supporting Obasa’s removal, but he denied being behind the move.
The relationship became strained again during the latest APC primary in Surulere Constituency I, where Gbajabiamila backed Barakat Odunuga-Bakare for the seat Elliot had represented. Elliot eventually withdrew from the contest, saying he accepted the decision of the people of Surulere.
Now seeking to mend fences, Elliot said he was misguided during the last APC primaries and pledged to renew his loyalty to the GAC leadership in Lagos.
“I’m sorry daddy”, he said while on his knees.
