Singer Spyro says he has been spending more than he realised whenever he goes out, especially when people around him constantly ask for money.
He said the cost of going out has made him prefer staying indoors. Whenever he does have to go out, he sometimes has to avoid groups of people because he doesn’t want to be asked to pay for something.
Speaking in an interview, he said:
“Coming down to this interview, I had to dodge a group of people so they wouldn’t bill me. You won’t know how much you’ve lost when you keep handing a token of ₦50k to people here and there. I sat down and calculated how much I spend whenever I go out then I decided to stay indoors.”
For him, looking at the amount made him realise that staying home could save him from a lot of those small but regular expenses.
