Sharon Adeleke says she can’t be friends with an overly obsessed Davido fan

Money won't guarantee successful business - Davido's sister, Sharon

Sharon Adeleke has some pretty clear rules when it comes to friendship.

For one, she does not rush into calling someone a friend. She said it takes her a while to let people into her personal space because she is “paranoid” about who she allows into her world.

There are also a few things she simply cannot tolerate. Outside shoes are not allowed upstairs in her home, and passive-aggressive behaviour is something she would rather stay away from.

Sharon also likes her plans to be well organised. So, if a girls’ trip is being planned, she wants everything sorted out early, especially when it comes to luxury trips.

Money is another boundary for her. She said she no longer loans money to friends because of things she has experienced in the past. If she decides to help someone, she would rather give the money without expecting it to come back.

She is also not the type to expect all of a friend’s attention. Sharon said she is perfectly fine with her friends having other friends, and she enjoys spending time by herself too.

And if she forgets your birthday or does not post you on Instagram, she does not necessarily see that as a problem.

She also prefers outings that are properly planned. Disorganised plans, particularly in Lagos, are not her thing because they can quickly become stressful and expensive.

Then there is the Davido issue.

Sharon said she has no problem with someone being a fan of her brother, but she would rather not be close to someone who constantly talks about him.

In a post she shared, she said:

“If I feel like you’re too much of a Davido fan… when you want to talk about Davido all the time, we can’t be friends”.

Cliques are another red flag for her, as are possessiveness and a sense of entitlement.

She also does not like “famzing”, which she described as social climbing and forcing yourself into places or situations where you were not invited.

For Sharon, friendship does not mean having to accept every personality or behaviour. She is comfortable with people deciding that her boundaries are not for them, just as she is comfortable keeping those boundaries.
