The court hearing for the DNA case concerning the late musician, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as Mohbad, has been postponed to November 16, as family members express concerns about the testing process

Mohbad DNA case adjourned amid family concerns about testing procedure
A representative for the family seeking to join the lawsuit indicated that a new court-appointed officer has been assigned to address their apprehensions about the DNA test.
The representative raised questions about the testing facility and the role of its director, who has been involved in an earlier DNA request.
There are concerns over whether the facility will perform the test or only collect samples for transfer to another laboratory. Family representatives are seeking clarity on the procedures for sample collection, handling, and transport to the testing facility. They noted that a previous sample transfer took between six and eight months, raising further doubts about efficiency.
Additionally, they reported that the Alaba family, who contacted the examination facility, was informed that it had not received the relevant samples, leading to an inconclusive result. The newly appointed officer has reportedly acknowledged these concerns and promised to investigate further.
The family is eager for the DNA test to be conducted promptly, but emphasised that the process must be transparent and reliable. They are awaiting a response from the officer before making any further decisions.
