Gehgeh has criticised VeryDarkMan for warning Davido against speaking about Nigerian politics
This follows the controversy surrounding his uncle, Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke’s support for President Bola Tinubu.
The issue began after the Governor expressed support for Tinubu’s re-election bid, prompting VDM to question Davido’s political stance.
VDM claimed that the singer knew his uncle had always been aligned with the APC but opposed the party publicly because an open declaration of support could have affected Adeleke’s chances in the Osun governorship election.
VDM went on to warn Davido against speaking about politics again, saying he would call him out, dragged him to mud and totally cancel him.
Reacting to the comments, Gehgeh argued that VDM was wrong to thr.eaten Davido by saying that he should stay out of politics because of his uncle’s political decisions.
He also stated that VDM’s relationship with Burna Boy might be affecting how he views Davido, and might now see him as an enemy, questioning why the singer was being singled out over the situation.
Gehgeh said:
“VeryDarkMan’s relationship with Burna Boy is making him see Davido as his enemy. Otherwise, why would he come online and say, ‘If them born Davido well, make he put mouth for any politics in this country again, that you will wash him down’? That statement is wrong in all ramifications. You’re not more Nigerian than Davido.”
