Singer and businessman Mr Eazi has revealed the financial reason behind the release of his recent song, saying he needs money to pay his rent despite living in an area populated by some of the world’s biggest sports stars.
The singer described his neighbourhood as a place where he could easily come across Formula 1 drivers, tennis players and footballers. He also mentioned former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba as one of the footballers he could run into simply by going downstairs.
Despite living around wealthy and internationally recognised athletes, Mr Eazi said he still has rent to worry about, explaining that the need to raise money was behind his decision to release his latest music.
During a conversation, Mr Eazi said:
“I dropped my recent song because I’m looking for money to pay my rent. I live around Formula 1 drivers, tennis players and even footballers. I could just decide to go downstairs and cross paths with Paul Pogba,” Mr Eazi said.
The billionaire Otedola’s son inlaw believes being surrounded by high-profile athletes does not mean he is exempt from the ordinary costs of living.
Mr Eazi, known for his contributions to the Nigerian music scene and his fusion of Afrobeats with other musical influences, has built an international career through his music and business ventures.
