The comedian said he bought the product from a supermarket in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, but noticed something was wrong after applying it to his armpits. Instead of using it without any issues, he experienced a burning sensation that left him concerned about what he had bought.

While showing the deodorant in the post, Brain Jotter pointed to what appeared to be rust on its container.

He said:

“First of all, if you look here, you will see the thing dey rust, but that’s not the bone of contention”.

He said the feeling after applying the product was similar to using pepper spray.

“I bought pepper spray disguised as Nivea spray”, he stated.

What bothered him was not just the experience itself, but the fact that he bought the deodorant from a supermarket he believed he could trust. He also said this was not the first time he had encountered a questionable product in the country.

According to him, he had dealt with a similar situation three months earlier when he encountered expired wine at a hotel in Enugu.

Brain Jotter made it clear that he was not blaming Nivea for the incident, explaining that he regularly used the brand’s products and suspected that the deodorant he bought was counterfeit.
