Daniel Regha has questioned Verydarkman’s criticism of Davido and the Adeleke family, pointing to several past incidents he believes contradict the activist’s current position.
Regha questioned whether Verydarkman was unaware of the family’s spending habits when Davido reportedly accommodated him at an expensive hotel, where he enjoyed a plate of rice said to cost more than ₦12,000. He also pointed to Verydarkman’s attendance at Davido’s lavish wedding, which was attended by Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and some APC members.
In a post he shared, Daniel Regha wrote:
“So, VDM didn’t know about the Adelekes when Davido reportedly lodged him in an expensive hotel, where he also ate a plate of rice costing over ₦12,000 and was happy to talk about it? He didn’t know the Adelekes spent recklessly when he joyfully attended Davido’s lavish wedding, which was attended by some APC faithfuls and even the governor of Osun State? He didn’t know all these things about Davido when he was riding on their fame?.
“All of a sudden, he is now concerned about money laundering and the misuse of public funds after falling out with Davido.
“This is the same person who criticised Don Jazzy but started singing his praises after he donated ₦100 million to his NGO.
“He also criticised Victor Osimhen over an alleged donation but was quick to hop on a free flight with his brother to Turkey to celebrate Osimhen at Galatasaray.
“He wanted to be at the forefront of the August 1 #EndBadGovernance protest, then turned against peaceful protesters before returning to support the protest after facing backlash.
“He seems to choose whichever side is most convenient and beneficial to his NGO.”
