Social media personality, Raye has complained about the poor electricity supply in Lagos after spending more than two weeks without power in her apartment.
She said the situation has made life difficult, particularly for business owners and people who work remotely and depend on a steady power supply to get their jobs done.
According to her, the situation is even more frustrating because her estate does not allow residents to install solar panels or use generators, leaving them with no alternative source of electricity.
She questioned why Nigerians are still struggling with something as basic as electricity in 2026, especially when so many people depend on it for their daily activities and livelihoods.
Expressing her frustration in a post she shared, Raye said:
“The Nigerian government will make us see electricity as a luxury. This is 2026, yet Nigerians are still lamenting over the lack of electricity. For over two weeks, we have not had a single day of electricity in our apartment in Lagos, and my estate does not allow solar panels or even generators.”
