EFCC Discovers $1m In Badeh’s Maitama Mansion

    The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has recovered
    the sum of $1m hidden in one of the mansions of the immediate past Chief of
    Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh (retd.).
    According to reports, the foreign currencies were found at
    his mansion at No 6, Ogun River Street, Maitama, Abuja.
    It was learnt that many witnesses including his neighbours
    flooded the house while detectives where carrying out the search and they can
    testify to the discovery of the money.
    So far, it’s alleged that the Economic and Financial Crimes
    Commission has seized five of Badeh’s properties with one worth N1.1bn and the
    rest in several millions.
    Badeh has remained in the EFCC custody since February 8, and
    has been charged along with a firm, Iyalikam Nigeria Limited, before Justice
    Okon Abang of the Federal High Court in Abuja. He is set to appear in court today.
