The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has
arrested a former Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido, for alleged
money laundering-related offences. Lamido was picked up in Abuja with two of
his sons yesterday. It was learnt that the EFCC leadership ordered a crack team
of detectives to fly them to Kano by 2.30pm same day in preparatory to their
arraignment for alleged fraud running into billions of naira.
