There was a small fracas after Nollywood actor, Desmond
Elliot won the APC primary elections yesterday for the State house of assembly
ticket in Surulere very close to the Local Government. Some party members who
felt the election wasn’t free and fair protested by burning some APC fliers
they spotted around. Some even said the
actor won because of his many godfathers in the party.
Still on APC, newly announced APC gubernatorial ticket
winner, Ambode Akinwumi has said he won his party’s primaries because he was
the only candidate that visited all the 20 local governments to consult with
the people. So it was a matter of people believing in him.
