A Los Angeles jury delivered a not guilty verdict after approximately three hours of deliberation, clearing Rocky of two counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm.

During the trial, prosecutors argued that Rocky intentionally fired a gun at Ephron following a dispute. However, the defense countered that the firearm was merely a prop for a music video, and that Ephron was the aggressor in the situation.

Following the verdict, Rocky—whose real name is Rakim Mayers—expressed his relief, tearfully telling the jury: “Thank y’all for saving my life.”

His partner, Rihanna, was present throughout the trial and later shared her relief on social media, calling the acquittal “God’s work.”

Had he been convicted, Rocky faced a potential 24-year prison sentence.

Despite his acquittal, legal battles may not be over, as Ephron has also filed a civil lawsuit against Rocky.
